Katharine Hepburn Is Selling Her Former Estate In Connecticut

The house has over 8,000 square feet. At Outside of Katharine Hepburn’s estate in Old Saybrook, Connecticut, a hand-painted sign politely requested potential lookiloos to “Please Go Away.” If that wasn’t enough to convince, a “Keep Out” sign was tacked below it, too.

The home sold a year later, after her death, to Barbara and Frank Sciame for $6m. The Sciames bought the property as an investment. They renovated it and just put it back again for sale for $28 million.

It’s a Spanish house that sits on 1.54 acres and was Grant’s Hollywood hideaway for 20 years. The asking price for this piece of movie-star history is $2.9 million. The house was built in 1927.
