Rachel Zoe has sold her Hollywood Home

2011 UPDATE: Rachel and her husband Rodger now have a baby boy named Skyler. They sold their mid-century modern house in Hollywood for $2.5 million and got the one-bedroom apartment that is frequently shown on her show:
They leased a 7,000 sq-ft house, during Rachel’s pregnancy, that was formerly on the market for $8.2 million.

The Bachelorette: Trista and Ryan Sutter Have a Baby Boy

Trista and Ryan are one of the only happy endings that have lasted long beyond the final credits of the show. I was one of the 20 million viewers who tuned in to watch their pink wedding on TV in 2003. The couple now lives in Vail, Colorado. Last July they had their first baby, a son named Maxwell Alston. Britney Spears’ Beverly Hills Home Is On The Market Again

Britney Spears has flopped her home in the Summit community of Beverly Hills back on the market yet again. Spears bought the home on what appears to have been a quick impulse back in 2007 during her more manic days and she’s been trying to sell off and on ever since. The home has been listed as high as $7.9 million last fall but now the six-bedroom villa is at a more realistic $6.499 million. Spears meanwhile has decamped to Calabasas when she’s not on tour. The new price means that she will likely lose money on the deal, Spears bought for $6.75 million when it was on the market for $7.2 million, but may be she’ll be glad to be rid of the home once it finally sells.
Latest Update: The house has still not sold, and the price has been slashed to $4.85 million.
According to People magazine, “The pop star, 26, has lived in the hilltop home for less than two years – and had to leave the house twice early this year to be forcibly hospitalized. Spears’s father Jamie, who remains in legal control of his daughter until Dec. 31, sought permission from a court in June to sell the home.”
Britney in fact wants a new starting and is planning a move to Calabasas, California, which is an hour’s drive north of Los Angeles.

Suzanne Somers’ Pretty Unusual Property in Palm Springs

Suzanne Somers and her husband Alan Hamel have put thier Palm Springs compound on the market. They were originally asking for $35 million. However, it’s now decreased to $12.9. The house is located in a secluded canyon above downtown Palm Springs on a piece of 65 acres land.
According to Luxist:
The pair bought the land back in 1977, gradually enhancing the 65 acres with guest houses, an amphitheater, an updated pool and a renovated and expanded main house. Somers filled the home with a decor as exuberant as she is, French country touches keep company with velvet sofas, giant chandeliers and more than one zebra skin rug.
There are 7 different suites and houses. All of them are connected by rock terraces and natural gardens, so it’s a pretty unusual property. The grounds are stunning.

Charlie Sheen’s $3.7M Mediterranean-Style Home in Los Angeles

According to The Wall Street Journal, Sheen is in escrow to buy a property for £4.65m ($7.5 million USD) just a few blocks away from his current home. The home Sheen is allegedly purchasing is owned by Mike Medavoy, the producer behind the Academy Award-winning film “Black Swan.” The Mediterranean-style house (pictured below) sits on a half-acre lot, with nearly 10,000 sq ft, 6 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms, both a game and media room, a library, gourmet kitchen with butler’s pantry, and large living and dining areas. There is also an outdoor bar and kitchen just steps from the outdoor swimming pool.

Actress Meg Ryan put her home up for sale last October for $14.2 million, but after just two months, the listing was removed. But now, Ryan has posted a for rentsign on her Bel Air beauty and, as usual with celeb homes, the price is not cheap: $40,000/month!
Ryan’s Bel Air home is a classic, Spanish-style estate, built in 1931. It offers wide-open city and ocean views and resort-like grounds also offer privacy. Fanciful touches inside include open archways, stenciled and painted wood-beamed ceilings, tiles, ironwork, rich wood floors, doors and windows, and French doors that open to loggia, dining pavilion and expansive lawn.
According to Zillow’s price history chart, Ryan purchased this home in October 2000 for $8.5 million.

LeAnn Rimes’ Home in Tennessee is Listed for $7.45 Million

Country singer and actress LeAnn Rimes has been in the news lately for being caught kissing the co-star of her recent Lifetime channel movie (both she and the actor in question, Eddie Cibrian are married). She has now hoisted her huge custom-built home in Franklin, Tennessee on the market. The Real Estalker reportsthat Rimes and her husband, backup dancer Dean Sheremet, bought a 5.21 acre hunk of property in the gated Avalon community in 2006. The couple then built a 13,380 square foot mansion which they only finished at the start of this year. They previously owned and sold a home in Nashville, Tennessee. This home is listed at $7.45 million.
According to an article in the Tennessean, LeAnn decorated this house herself, using lots of white on white for a “peaceful, Zen vibe.” The house has 6 bedrooms and 7.5 baths. It’s still practically new, having been completed in 2008.

Natalie Portman’s $2.2 Million House in Long Island

Star Wars princess Natalie Portman is selling her modest, 7-room Long Island home for $2.2 million. She has lived on Long Island since she was a child, and in this home for the past five years. I love when celeb houses hit the market because then we all get to peek inside and see how they live! I don’t know where I imagined Natalie Portman would live, but it wasn’t here. It doesn’t look like she actually spends much time in this house, but maybe she doesn’t. She also owns a condo in Manhattan with a view of the Hudson. It’s not really how you’d expect a movie star to live, is it? Of course, maybe she doesn’t think so, either, which may be why she’s moving!
