Sarah Jessica Parker & Matthew Broderick’s $19M House in Hamptons

0

For years Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick have led real estate gossips and the paparazzi on one of New York’s most epic housing hunts. For a while it looked like the West Village supercouple would be ditching Downtown for Central Park West, but cooler heads prevailed. Instead, they’re just shuffling east. The Observer reports that SJP and her Bueller are the mystery buyers who just paid a staggering $18.995 million for the incredible 25-foot-wide Greek Revival townhouse at 20 East 10th Street, between Fifth Avenue and University Place.

The evidence is circumstantial, yet convincing! Let’s see the photos of the house:

Anyone will be surprised to see the charming photos of the house of Richard Gere where he lives in. Because there’s nothing “Hollywood” about it. It has a nice farmhouse adjacent to it. And also a huge the cozy breakfast nook and wraparound porch. Currently the house is on the market for sale in the Hamptons (New York) for $8.8 million.

Let have a calm and pleasant to look at the photos (Courtesy to hookedonhouse.net):

Ina Garten is known to millions of food habitants as “The Barefoot Contessa,”. She has an apartment in Manhattan featured in House Beautiful. To quote of hers from the article:

When people come to your house, you don’t ever want them to feel that you’ve been cooking for three days. You want them to feel like this is just something you whipped up and come on, we’re having a party. And decorating is like that, too. You don’t want people to feel, Oh, don’t touch that. You want them to feel, Oh, just sit anywhere and put your feet up.

Garten worked at the White House in the 70s. She bought a small, specialty food store in the Hamptons called “The Barefoot Contessa.” She told The New York Times, “My job in Washington was intellectually exciting and stimulating but it wasn’t me at all.”

The original store’s owner named it after a 1954 film starring Ava Gardner and Humphrey Bogart. Garten felt the name suited her “elegant but earthy lifestyle.”
